Hemas Manufacturing fetes winning streak with Top Sales Achievers

Colombo. Monday 02 August 2010.  Hemas Manufacturing recently celebrated the feats of its top achievers and unveiled plans for the new financial year to its Sales Staff and Marketing Team at the Annual Sales Conference 2010/11.

 
Chief Guest on the occasion was CEO of Hemas Holdings Husein Esufally. Also present on the occasion were Managing Director Hemas Manufacturing Imal Fonseka, Director Sales (Consumer Brands) Anil Meegahage and several others.

 
Addressing the gathering, Keynote Speaker Imal Fonseka congratulated his sales colleagues and business partners for successfully meeting the year’s expectations. ‘I am proud of this team which fought every bit of the way to ensure victory for our brands across numerous battle fronts. Exceptional results like this, come from great leadership, vision and team spirit’ he said.

 
Director Sales (Consumer Brands) Anil Meegahage described the sales force as the veritable backbone of the company and complimented its members for a brilliant job done during the year in review. ‘As promised last year the sales team has reached its targets despite barriers that stood on the way’.

 
Meegahage also explained some of the strategies employed by the sales force to reach its targets. ‘We implemented many initiatives during the year, which included restructuring of the distribution network, channel focussed trade promos, modern trade development and so on. These projects have undoubtedly given great results due to the hard work put on by all members in the sales team and supporting teams.’

 
‘Achievers Night’ 2009/10 took place the same evening, where top performers were honored and the winning teams from the General Trade, Modern Trade and the ‘Star Reps’ rewarded with trips to Asian region destinations. The sales management team clinched an all expenses paid trip to Australia.

 
Among the top awards that evening in the ‘General Trade’ category were Best Region - North Region (Area Sales Manager – Mr. V. Sivasothy), Best Sub Region - Colombo 1 Sub Region, Star Company Sales Rep - Mr. E.H. Mahesh Silva, Star Distributor Sales Rep - Mr. A.P. Ronald Preman and Winner of the Distributor Competition - Prabha Agencies, Ragama.

 
The award for the Best Supermarket Chain in the Modern Trade category went to Sathosa (Customer Manager – Mr. Chandana Gamage)
