August 4, 2010   02:39 pm

Opposition leader Ranil Wickremasinghe today making a statement in parliament regarding Government Minister Mervyn Silva tying a man to a tree yesterday said that this kind of incidents will bring Sri Lanka into ill repute internationally.

Wickremasinghe added that Silva’s behavior contravene the constitution of Sri Lanka where intentional harm is brought on others and taking the law into one’s own hands.

Wickremasinghe also questioned whether the government approved such behavior of one of their ministers.
