Disciplinary action to be taken against 20 UNP reps

Disciplinary actions will be taken against the 20 public representatives of UNP who revealed the decisions of the Working Committee in public and criticized them in the media. UNP sources said that there are UNP MPs, Municipal Council Members, Provincial Council Members and Pradeshiya Sabha Members among these members.

 

 

A senior of member of the party said that it is illegal to reveal the decisions taken collectively by the Working Committee in public. Furthermore, statements have been taken from some of the accused regarding their actions.

 

 

Also a final decision will be taken on August 11 about giving a chance for representatives of provincial councils to vote when choosing a leader for the party.
