Lankan girls sold for prostitution in Singapore: CID tells Court

CID has started investigations about a racket which sells girls for prostitution in Singapore under the pretence of taking them for dancing concerts. CID has informed the Colombo Magistrate Courts about this case.

 

 

 

 

 

CID has started these investigations following a complaint from the Sri Lankan embassy in Singapore.

 

 

 

 

 

In a report to the Magistrate Courts, the CID has stated that they have arrested a suspect of this case. In their investigations, it has been revealed to the CID that the said suspect has sold girls for prostitution for $50 in Singapore.

 

 

 

 

 

The CID has started investigations to arrest the other suspects involved in the racket.
