Two armed robbers steal Rs. 8 mn from shop in Meegoda

Police stated that two suspects had brandished firearms and robbed around Rs. 08 million in cash from a furniture wholesale store in Meegoda and fled on a motorcycle this evening (25).
The suspects have not been identified so far, while Meegoda Police are conducting further investigations regarding the incident.
The armed robbers had reportedly forcibly entered the establishment and threatened the employees of the furniture store with firearms before making off with the money.
