The woman in concern had returned to Sri Lanka on August 21 but no complaints had been made to any authorities on the brutal torturing, says Chairman of the Foreign Employment Bureau, Kingsley Ranawaka.
He also said that officers from the Bureau’s Matara District office have been deployed to the house of the woman last evening in order to get a statement and to gather more information.
Following a medical examination carried out on the woman in question it was revealed that several nails had been inserted into her body and that she had been burnt in various areas of her body.
