The Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) has stated that ongoing investigations into the procurement of Human Immunoglobulin drugs under Indian Line of Credit (LoC) are unsatisfactory, and that further action must be taken in this regard.

GMOA Chairman Dr. Haritha Aluthge urged that the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) take all required measures concerning the relevant investigation, emphasising that it is the CID’s responsibility to ensure that the investigation is carried out efficiently.

Meanwhile, Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Kavinda Jayawardena also stated that the Secretary to the Ministry of Health be immediately arrested in connection with the incident.
