Another electricity tariff revision in January?

Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera says that another electricity tariff revision is scheduled to take place in January 2024.
Speaking during today’s (09) parliamentary session, Wijesekera also mentioned that presenting the new Electricity Bill to the parliament would be delayed until the next parliamentary session.
Accordingly, the relevant bill will not be tabled in the Parliament on the 13th or 14th of December, the Minister emphasized while responding to the questions raised by different parties regarding the matter.
