‘Crossing Boundaries’ at Goethe-Institut Sri Lanka

‘Crossing Boundaries’ a new German short film will be screened at the Goethe Hall of the Goethe-Institut Sri Lanka, Gregory’s Road, Colombo 8 on September 2 at 5.30 p.m.

 

‘Crossing Boundaries’ is about the war and its post mental breakdown. The outbreak of the Second World War in 1939 and the year 1989 stand for the crossing or breaking down of actual and mental boundaries. 1939 is not only synonymous with the violent breach of a border, but also with a breach of civilization which had been unimaginable before.
