Two persons were arrested today for allegedly attempting to smuggle explosive materials, including gelatin sticks, to Sri Lanka by the sea route from nearby Thondi, Tamil Nadu, India.

Indian Police said they recovered 190 gelatin sticks, 102 detonators and some fuse wire from the two, who were questioned following suspicious movements.
