Begin new term with anti-dengue campaigns, Bandula urges schools

All schools should begin the new term with campaigns to eradicate the dengue menace, urges Education Minister Bandula Gunawardena. He said that the circular requesting school authorities to carry out such campaigns will be released by the Education Ministry on Monday.
School heads, teachers, students, parents and past pupils should join hands to rid the environments of the deadly mosquitoes, Minister Gunawardena said. He requested the parents and past pupils to take the matter seriously as there had been a large number of students who had been affected by the dengue fever.
