September 6, 2010   12:07 pm

Jathika Hela Urumaya (JHU) Western Provincial Council member Udaya Gammanpila today said that the opposition is opposing the Constitutional Amendments due to Mahinda Phobia and not due to the changes proposed in the amendment.

During the same press briefing the JHU pledged their support to the 18th Constitutional Amendment bill which is scheduled to be presented to Parliament on Wednesday (September 08).

It was also said by the JHU today that the presidential term should not be restricted by the constitution but be left for the people to decide.
