818 more suspects arrested under ongoing ‘Yukthiya’ operation

A total of 818 more suspects have been arrested by the security forces personnel within a 24-hour window ending at 12.30 a.m. today (Jan.27) as part of the ongoing countrywide anti-drug operation ‘Yukthiya’.

The police have secured detention orders on one arrestee for onward investigations, and sent 8 others to rehabilitation centres.

Ministry of Public Security said the narcotics impounded during this 24-hour window include 159g of heroin, 112g of crystal methamphetamine (‘Ice’), and 329 narcotic pills.
