VIDEO: ‘Black Day’ protest kicks off

The ‘Black Day’ protest organized by the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna at Ayurveda Junction in Borella began a short while ago, confirmed Ada Derana reporter.
The protest which is held against the 18th Constitutional Amendment is scheduled to travel from Borella all the way to the Parliament.
Earlier today JVP propaganda Secretary Vijitha Herath had stated that the police was obstructing party supporters from coming to Colombo to attend the ‘Black Day’ protest.
He said that a bus transporting Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) supporters had been detained at Medawachchiya by the police claiming that they were suspected of carrying explosives.
