Japanese Cultural Exhibition at Art Gallery

The Japanese Language Teacher’s Association of Sri Lanka and the Embassy of Japan will hold a Japanese Cultural Exhibition on 11th and 12th September 2010 at the National Art Gallery, No. 106, Ananda Coomaraswamy Mawatha, Colombo07.

 

 

The exhibition includes some of the cultural features of Japan such as Ikebana, Bonsai, Origami, Dolls, Kimono and posters displaying popular tourism destinations in Japan. Demonstrations of Ikebana, Origami, Bonsai, Calligraphy and the Tea ceremony will also be held during this exhibition.

 

 

Admission to the exhibition and demonstrations are free of charge to the general public on 11th September from 12.00 noon to 6.00 p.m. and 12th September from 9.00 a.m to 6.00 p.m.

 

 

The exhibition is designed to display Japan’s culture and lifestyle as well as promote tourism to Japan and thereby to further enhance the friendly relations between the peoples of Japan and Sri Lanka.
