First take action against Karu – Manusha

September 9, 2010   11:11 am

Rebel UNP MP Manusha Nanayakkara speaking Ada Derana this morning stated that if UNP were to take disciplinary action against them the party would have to first do so with Deputy Leader Karu Jayasuriya. He reiterated that they had not left the party and hence a disciplinary inquiry is pointless.

The UNP suspended the membership of the six UNP MPs who supported the 18th amendment and crossed over to the government in parliament yesterday. The six MPs were Abdul Cader, Earl Gunasekera, Upeksha Swarnamali, Nimal Wijesinghe, Lakshman Seneviratne and Manusha Nanayakkara.
