UPDATE: Police trace missing student to Pettah

UPDATE: The student from Nugawela Central College in Kandy who went missing from last night has been traced to a shop in Pettah, say police.

 

According to DIG Pujith Jayasundera, a police team had followed information and detected the Ordinary Level student from the Kandy school staying or being kept at a boutique in the Pettah. He is being detained at the boutique by police at the moment pending the arrival of a team from the Kandy police, added DIG Jayasundera.
