Lellama shooting: Two more youths arrested over attempted murder

The police have arrested two more suspects implicated in the recent attempted murder of a man in Lellama area of Modara.

On February 16, two unidentified assailants who had arrived on a motorcycle had opened fire at a man.

Accordingly, this duo was arrested in Modara and Grandpass areas for allegedly aiding and abetting the shooting.

The two suspects, aged 19 and 28 years, are reportedly residents of Colombo 14 and 15 areas.

Investigating officers have also found 5g 800mg of heroin on one of the suspects.

As such, a total of 5 suspects including two teens have thus far been apprehended in connection with the murder attempt, according to the police.

Modara Police and the CCD are conducting further investigations into this attempted murder.
