Showers expected in several provinces

The Meteorology Department says showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Western, Southern, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces in the evening or night.

A few showers may occur in Uva and Eastern provinces, it said.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in Badulla district during the morning.

The public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
