British woman arrested with drugs in Nuwara Eliya

Police have arrested a foreign woman and a local who were in possession of drugs in the Toppass area of Nuwara Eliya.

The officers of Nuwara Eliya Divisional Crimes Unit have seized around 19 grams of Kush cannabis and 03 grams of Hash while inspecting the van in which they travelled, the police said.

Accordingly, a 35-year-old British woman and a 28-year-old resident of Nuwara Eliya area have been arrested along with the seized drugs. The apprehended local person was the driver of the van, according to police.
