Sri Lanka’s Foreign Minister Ali Sabry and Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Investment Khalid Al Falih have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Investment Promotion between the two countries.

This instrument, a long-felt need, will immensely help to promote investment opportunities in each other’s countries, the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Riyadh said.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Sabry has also had a productive meeting with Faisal Alibrahim, Minister of Economy and Planning of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, during which both ministers discussed enhancement of economic cooperation including early finalization of a road map for greater economic cooperation.

Both ministers also discussed regional and international issues of mutual interest, the statement added.

Foreign Minister Ali Sabry is visiting Saudi Arabia to attend the World Economic Forum’s Special Meeting on Global Cooperation, Growth and Energy for Development held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from 28-29 April 2024.
