Dr. Bellana warns of political conspiracy to undermine health sector

Dr. Rukshan Bellana has warned of a potential political conspiracy to undermine the country’s health sector in the future.
He indicated that certain groups are attempting to recruit economically disadvantaged employees to support this agenda.
Dr. Bellana made these remarks at the inauguration ceremony of the National Union of Healthcare Workers (NUHW) held at the United National Party (UNP) Headquarters, Sirikotha.
Meanwhile, the General Secretary of the Joint Health Services Union, Ven. Tampitiye Sugathananda Thero, has announced that hospital junior staff will go on strike the day after tomorrow (9) to base on several demands.
