Ranjan Ramanayake forms new political party

Former Member of Parliament Ranjan Ramanayake has formed a new political party named the “United Democratic Voice” (Eksath Prajathanthravadi Handa).

The ‘microphone’ was unveiled as the symbol of the United Democratic Voice.

Former Sri Lankan cricketer Thilakarathne Dilshan, also known as TM Dilshan, has been appointed as the national organizer of the new party led by actor-turned-politician Ranjan Ramanayake.

Meanwhile, former Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Parliamentarian Vadivel Suresh was also present at the occasion of unveiling the new political party.

In 2010, Ranjan Ramanayake was first elected to the Parliament representing Ratnapura District from the United National Party (UNP).
