Dr. Anil Jasinghe appointed Secretary to Ministry of Health and Media

Dr. Anil Jasinghe has been appointed as the new Secretary to the Ministry of Health and Media by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. 

The appointment letter was handed over to Dr. Jasinghe today (10) at the Presidential Secretariat, the President’s Media Division (PMD) said.

Dr. Anil Jasinghe had previously served as the Director-General of Health Services from December 2017 to August 2020 and played an immense part in the country’s battle against the COVID-19 pandemic. He was later appointed as the Secretary to the Ministry of Environment.

He also previously served as the Director of the Colombo South Teaching Hospital (2009-2012) and Director of the National Hospital of Sri Lanka (2012-2017).
