Acting IGP’s instructions to officers engaged in night-time vehicle inspections

Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) Priyantha Weerasooriya has instructed all police personnel engaged in night time inspection of vehicles to wear luminous jackets and gloves, the Police Media Division said.

Furthermore, they have also been instructed to use only the specific red signal torches provided to halt vehicles at night.
