Thailand’s Suchata Chuangsri crowned Miss World 2025

The 72nd edition of the Miss World pageant concluded with a glittering ceremony at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad on Saturday night. 

Miss Thailand, Opal Suchata Chuangsri, was crowned Miss World 2025, becoming the latest beauty queen to win the prestigious global title. 

The 22-year-old from Phuket stood out with her confidence, grace and commitment to women’s health awareness. 

She was honoured with the crown after an intense competition featuring over 100 contestants from across the world.

Hasset Dereje Admassu from Ethiopia emerged as the top contestant from the Africa region and secured the position of first runner-up. Representing Europe, Poland’s Maja Klajda claimed the second runner-up title.

Aurélie Joachim, who represented Martinique, was the leading finalist from her continent and concluded the winners’ list as the third runner-up.

Opal, a political science student at Thammasat University, is fluent in Thai, English and Chinese. She has been actively involved in public service, especially her campaign titled “Opal For Her”, which focuses on spreading awareness about breast health and promoting routine check-ups among women.

The grand finale was co-hosted by former Miss World Stephanie Del Valle and Indian anchor Sachin Kumbhar. The event also featured high-energy performances by Bollywood stars jacqueline Fernandez and Ishaan Khatter.

With this victory, Thailand once again finds itself in the global spotlight, celebrating Opal’s remarkable achievement and the message of empowerment she carries forward.
