Warrant issued for ex-MP Wimal Weerawansa

A warrant has been issued for former Member of Parliament, Wimal Weerawansa, by the Fort Magistrate’s Court due to his failure to appear in connection with a pending case.
The case pertains to the alleged misuse of 40 state vehicles provided by the Presidential Secretariat to the National Freedom Front (NFF), which is claimed to have caused a loss of Rs. 9 million to the government.
