Budget of NPP-led Udunuwara PS defeated for second time

The second reading of the 2026 budget of the Udunuwara Pradeshiya Sabha, which is under the control of the National People’s Power (NPP), was defeated by a majority of two votes.

During the vote, 18 members voted in favour of the budget, while 20 councillors voted against it.

Accordingly, the second reading of the 2026 budget was defeated by a majority vote.
