Debt-ridden individual self-immolates inside leasing company

An individual, who reportedly failed to settle overdue payment of his vehicle leasing, has self immolated at a well known leasing company in Ampara on Monday (2) morning.

The victim, who sustained life threatening injuries following the incident, has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Ampara General Hospital.

The person has set himself on fire after pouring a bottle of petrol, Ada Derana reporter said. The leasing company office has also been partially damaged due to the incident, he added.
