Two teenage brothers, from the same family, have been arrested in connection with the murder of 42-year-old man in Dodangoda, Kalutara.

According to reports, the victim, who was living in the area, had thrown out some dishwater which had splashed on a woman who was nearby.

Later, the woman’s two sons had started an argument with the victim leading to the assault last evening.

The man had succumbed to critical injuries suffered in the attack, carried out using a club.

The woman’s two sons, ages 17 and 13, were arrested by Dodangoda Police, based on a complaint received.

They are to be produced at the Mathugama Magistrate’s Court.
