Man suspected of killing woman and packing body in luggage arrested

The individual suspected of murdering a woman and packing her body inside a luggage arrested from Kovikulam, Mannar, Police said a short while ago. The suspect is a 44 year old man from Nallur, Jaffna.

 

The body found inside a luggage at the Bastian Mawatha Bus Terminal in Pettah was identified as a 34-year-old woman from Vaddukoddai, Jaffna.

 

Police on July 29 found the remains of a woman inside a luggage at the bus station near Bastian Mawatha.

 

The body was recovered after a pedestrian, who spotted the luggage, informed the Colombo Fort Police while it was taken to the Colombo National Hospital for an autopsy.
