Sobitha Thero flown to Singapore for treatment

The chief incumbent of the Kotte Naga Vihara, Venerable Maduluwawe Sobitha Thero, has been flown to Singapore last night for urgent medical treatment at a hospital there.
He is expected to be admitted to the Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore, according to a source.
Sobitha Thero, the Convener of the National Movement for a Just Society, recently underwent heart surgery and was receiving treatment at the Colombo National Hospital.
He is expected to be subjected to further medical examinations at the hospital in Singapore as per doctors’ recommendations.
