K.T. Chitrasiri to be appointed Supreme Court judge

The Constitutional Council (CC) today approved a recommendation made by President Maithripala Sirisena to appoint Justice K.T. Chitrasiri as a judge of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka.

K.T. Chitrasiri, who currently serves as an Appeals Court judge, will therefore be appointed as a Supreme Court judge.

During the Constitutional Council meeting held at the Parliament premises this morning, the Chairpersons and members of the newly-established Elections, Finance, Delimitation and Procurement commissions engaged in a discussion with the council.
