Southern Expressway generates record income

December 25, 2015   04:04 pm

The Southern Expressway has generated a record income of Rs 16 million within yesterday (24) alone due to excessive traffic ahead of the long weekend.

Police had yesterday advised the motorists looking to exit from Godagama Interchange on the Southern Expressway to exit from Pinnaduwa and Kokmaduwa instead due to a long queue at the Godagama Interchange for several hours.

According to the Road Development Authority (UDA) around 50,000 vehicles had used the Southern Expressway yesterday.
