Twelve TN fishermen arrested by Navy

Twelve Tamil Nadu fishermen were arrested by Sri Lankan Navy personnel today for allegedly crossing the International Maritime Boundary Line, the PTI reported. 


They were fishing near Katchatheevu, an islet ceded to Sri Lanka in 1974, Assistant Director of Fisheries Department Gopinath said, adding, their two boats were also seized by the Navy personnel. 


All of them were taken to Talaimannar, a senior Fisheries Department official said said.
