The petition filed against former Treasury Secretary P.B. Jayasundera over a corruption scandal will be taken into consideration by the Supreme Court on July 04.

The petition has been filed by an Attorney-at-Law in a bid to obtain an order to direct the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption to investigate a tax fraud involving Jayasundera, Ada Derana reporter said.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court today (05) has also decided to conclude hearing of a petition which filed against the move by the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRC) to allocate its funds to purchase ‘Sil’ clothes for Buddhist devotees during last Presidential election.

The petition was filed by the People’s Action for Free and Fair Elections (PAFFREL) last January.
