Former Minister Mervyn Silva has arrived at the Financial Crime Investigation Division (FCID), a short while ago on Saturday (14).

The former Minister was summoned to record a statement regarding a land issue, the police confirmed.

Silva while denying to make any observations with respect to the case as an investigation is still underway, stressed that the FCID should have established earlier in a bid to monitor frauds.

He also went on to say that he hope the FCID would strengthen its ability to pursue corruption cases.
