Wariyapola abducted youth rescued by police

The 20 year old youth who was abducted for ransom in Wariyapola has been rescued by police.
Two suspects have also been arrested following the incident, the police confirmed a short while ago on Sunday (15) morning.
Victim Mohammad Aasif, was last seen leaving a shop owned by his father approximate 700 meters away the place where he was abducted, Ada Derana reporter said earlier.
According to reporter, an area resident has heard Aasif was screaming for help and he had also witnessed a white colour car speeding towards Melwatta road. However, the car had reportedly fled the scene when he rushed to help.
The suspects will be produced before the Magistrate this afternoon.
