Youth remanded over murder of OIC’s daughter

The suspect arrested in connection with the murder of the Horowpathana Police OIC’s daughter and causing injuries to his wife, has been remanded till June 02 by the Anuradhapura Chief Magistrate. 

The police officer’s 24-year-old son-in-law, the husband of the deceased, was arrested over the knife attack which had occurred yesterday morning (26) at the OIC’s residence located in Akkara Wissa area in Galenbindunuwewa.

He was arrested last evening by police while in hiding after consuming poison and is currently receiving treatment at the Galenbindunuwewa Hospital.
