Kotmale Mahaweli Maha Seya unveiled

Ceremonial unveiling of the Kotmale Mahaweli Maha Seya (Pagoda) was held under the patronage of the President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe today.


The Mahaweli Maha Seya in Kotmale was inaugurated under the patronage of the former President J.R. Jayawardhana, and Gamini Dissanayake, the Minister of Land Development and Mahaweli Development.


This 289-feet high pagoda with a 628-feet diameter provides accesses about 4,000 devotees for one occasion.
