Six nabbed with heroin worth Rs 12 million

Six suspects including two women have been arrested with a haul of more than 1 kilogram of heroin following two separate raids carried out by the Police Narcotics Bureau last night.

In a drug bust carried out in the Wellampitiya area police officers had arrested two women and two men along with around 600g of heroin.

Two three-wheelers in their possession were also taken into custody.

In a separate operation carried out by Narcotics sleuths 2 suspects were arrested with 450g of heroin in Grandpass. 

The total haul of heroin, weighing around 1 kilogram and 50 grams, is estimated to be worth around Rs 12 million.
