Sri Lanka envoy pays farewell call on Nepali President

Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Nepal WM Senevirathna on Friday paid a farewell call on President Bidya Devi Bhandari at the Sheetal Niwas.

During the meeting, issues of mutual concerns and cooperation were discussed, the Nepali President’s Office assistant spokesperson Dhruva Raj Acharya said in a statement today.

They also discussed development of Buddha’s birthplace Lumbini and possibility of operating direct Nepal-Sri Lanka flights, among other issues, according to Acharya.

The President thanked Senevirathna for his role in holding high-level bilateral meetings and maintain the friendly ties between two South Asian nations, the statement added. –Agencies
