Commissions unfavorable for us, but good for country - Sujeewa

State Minister of International Trade, Sujeewa Senasinghe, says that political-wise independent commissions are disadvantages to them as they removes political powers and vests them with state officials to work independently.

“Political-wise they are unfavorable for us, but it’s good for the country,” he said, addressing a media briefing today (9).

He stated that no matter what crazy person who acts in dictatorial frenzy comes to power again, although they believe that will not happen, they cannot carry out the previous Rajapaksa administration.

Although it is not ideal for the United National Party (UNP), this unity government is good for the country, he emphasized.
