Body of a medical student found from hostel

A body of a 28-year-old medical student attached to the Colombo Medical Faculty has been discovered from a student’s hostel, police said.
The body was recovered following a tip-off received by the police a short while ago on Sunday afternoon (11).
The student’s hostel is located at the Norris Canal Road in Colombo.
An investigation is underway to reveal the cause of death, an official said. The remains of the student will be taken to the Colombo National Hospital for a post-mortem.
