Navy nabs 77.5 kg of Kerala Ganja

Sri Lanka Navy personnel have seized 77.5 kg of Kerala Cannabis while being transportedin a three-wheeler in the coastal area of Ambalampokkane in Pudukurippu.
 
On receipt of intelligence, a group of naval personnel attached to SLNS Gotabaya in Mullaitivu belonging to the Eastern Naval Command in coordination with Mulathivu Police arrested the narcotics yesterday (23). 

The suspects had abandoned the haul of cannabis and escaped from the scene having seen the approaching naval personnel, SLN media unit said.

The apprehended haul of cannabis was produced to the Mullaitivu Police for onward legal action.
