Navy officers assaulted during Ganja raid

Investigations have started regarding a group of suspects involved in Kerala Ganja racket following the assault on three navy personnel at Silavathura, Mannar.
 
Statements have been taken from 10 people in connection with the case, Silavathura police said.
 
A group of Navy officers acting on a tip-off went to investigate a potential Ganja smuggling operation when they were assaulted by the suspects. 
 
A Navy officer has been admitted to Mannar hospital while the other two with minor injuries have been admitted to Navy Hospital.
 
After the incident, the Navy Commander has visited Silavathura area.
