It is truly ‘unfortunate’ what happened in Jaffna last week while were are on our path towards reconciliation, Law and Order and Southern Development Minister Sagala Ratnayaka says.

He expressed this view while speaking at a press conference held in Colombo this afternoon (26).

“The situation could have gone much worse but timely interference from the Prime Minister, President, Opposition leader and the civil organizations halted it,” he added.

Ratnayaka also went on to say that he has no intention of taking anyone’s side, but need to review both sides of the incident.
