President pays last respects to King Bhumibol

President Maithripala Sirisena has left for Thailand to pay his last respects to the late King of Thailand Bhumibol Adulyadej.


The President offering a floral tribute paid his last respects to the Body of King Bhumibol and also signed the guest book.


King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the world’s longest-reigning monarch, has died after 70 years as head of state.


The 88-year-old king was widely revered but had been in poor health in recent years, making few public appearances.
