Invisible hand behind disabled veterans’ protest - Devapriya

The bid of the Joint Opposition to form a new political party only a dream of former Minister Basil Rajapaksa, Western Province Chief Minister Isura Devapriya says.

The observation was made at a press conference held in Colombo this afternoon (02).

Devapriya also went on to say that it is not the dream of the true SLFPers to form a new party which would jeopardize its political monopoly.

The Chief Minister also went on to say that the SLFP is ready to join hands with the Joint Opposition, citing it as a key priority.

“There is an invisible hand behind the recent protests of disable veterans. I severely condemn the move to use this matter to gain political advantage,” he added.
