Parliament has been adjourned for 10 minutes by the Speaker due to a disruptive situation over a financial regulation, Ada Derana reporter said.

Four motions under the Ministry of Finance were slated to be approved by the Parliament yesterday (8), however only one of them had been presented to the House yesterday.

Therefore the remaining three motions were to be added to the Parliament’s agenda for today (9), when UPFA members representing the Joint Opposition raised objections.

Despite the Speaker assuring that this would not affect today proceedings, the opposition MPs continued to objections resulting in the Speaker adjourning Parliament for 10 minutes for a party leaders’ meeting.
